What is the use of "Waiting List" on Tatkal quota in new amendments in Indian Railway
Recently Indian Railway some amendments on Tatkal quota. No refund will be allowed for cancellation of Tatkal quota booked Tickets.
As we know, Tatkal quota is fixed number of seats in every train.
So, there is no refund for cancellation in such case who will go for cancellation if booked in Tatkal scheme?1. Tatkal Advance Reservation Period reduced to one day – i.e., 24 hours other than date of travel.
2. Maximum of four passengers per ticket (earlier six).
3. ID card (as already notified) of at least one passenger required at the time of booking.
a)A self-attested xerox copy of ID card should be enclosed with application form.
b)If the declared ID holder is not travelling the other passengers need to provide their ID (at least one of the passengers) at the time of partial cancellation.
c)If the holder is not travelling, all other passengers will also be declared as without ticket and penalty levied.
4. No refund on confirmed tatkal tickets.However, full refunds allowed only for contingency cases such as “Train Cancelled”/Tatkal coach not available.
5. Duplicate tickets will not be issued.However, duplicate tickets will be issued on collection of full fare including Tatkal charges – only on contingency cases.
6. Agents/RTSAs/Web service agents shall be restricted from booking Tatkal tickets at the counters between 08.00 hrs. and 10.00 hrs.
