Tatkal Railway Reservation

Southern Railway will run special trains on the Chennai Central - Kollam - Chennai Central and Chennai Central - Ernakulam Junction - Chennai Central section between November 19 and January 22 to clear the extra rush during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season.

Advance reservation for the special trains will begin on Friday, Railways said.

The 06001 Chennai Central - Kollam Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 3.15 p.m. on Mondays from November 19 to January 21 to arrive Kollam at 5.30 a.m. on Tuesdays.

The 06002 Kollam - Chennai Central Weekly Special will depart from Kollam at 11.15 a.m. on Tuesdays from November 20 to January 22 to reach Chennai Central at 3.30 a.m. on Wednesdays.

The 06005 Chennai Central - Kollam Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 3.15 p.m. on Fridays from November 23 to January 18 to arrive at Kollam at 5.30 a.m. on Saturdays.

The 06006 Kollam - Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Kollam at 11.15 a.m. on Saturdays from November 24 to January 19 to reach Chennai Central at 3.30 a.m. on Sundays.

The 06007 Chennai Central - Kollam Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 10.30 p.m. on Sundays from November 25 to January 20 to reach Kollam at 3.30 p.m. on Mondays. The 06008 Kollam - Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Kollam at 9.15 p.m. on Mondays from November 26 to January 21 to reach Chennai Central at 12.50 p.m. on Tuesdays.

The 06009 Chennai Central - Kollam Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 5.35 p.m. on Tuesdays from November 27 to January 15 to arrive at Kollam at 9.10 a.m. on Wednesdays.

The 06010 Kollam - Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Kollam at 11.15 a.m. on Wednesdays from November 28 to January 16 to reach Chennai Central at 3.30 a.m. on Thursdays.

The 06003 Chennai Central - Kollam Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 5.40 p.m. on Thursdays from November 22 to January 17 to reach Kollam at 9.10 a.m. on Fridays.

To Chennai

The 06004 Kollam - Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Kollam at 11.15 a.m. on Fridays from November 23 to January 18 to reach Chennai Central at 3.30 a.m. on Saturdays.

The 06011 Ernakulam Junction - Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 5 p.m. on Thursdays from November 22 to January 17 to reach Chennai Central at 5.15 a.m. on Fridays.

The 06012 Chennai Central - Ernakulam Junction Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 9 p.m. on Fridays from November 23 to January 18 and arrive at Ernakulam Junction at 8.15 a.m. on Saturdays.

Temporary stoppage

Railways have also provided temporary stoppage at the Tiruvalla railway station for two minutes during the Sabarimala season.

Railways said the 12697 Chennai Central- Thiruvananthapuram Express would stop at Tiruvalla from November 18 to January 20 next year.

The 12698 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central Express would stop at Tiruvalla from November 17 to January 19 next.

The Kochuveli-Bhavnagar Express and the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram Express (bi-weekly) would stop at Chengannur during the pilgrim season from Friday.
